Our family tradition of fishing

For over 50 years, our family has chased fish across rivers, bays, and the blue waters of the Pacific Northwest. What started as early mornings with thermoses, tangled lines, and hand-me-down gear turned into a lifelong obsession with salmon, steelhead, and kokanee—and the gear it takes to catch them.

Products built on decades of experience

Every lure, flasher, jig, and boat motor mount we make comes from decades on the water—trial, error, and the kind of hard-earned knowledge you only get by fishing side by side with family, season after season. If it doesn't work in real PNW conditions, it doesn't leave our bench.

Meet the family behind the gear

Born and raised in the PNW, I've been fishing as soon as I could walk. I have raised three kids on the water and been married for 38 years. Our passion for fishing runs deep, and we pour that experience into every product we create.

Hand-made, tested, and proven for your success

What sets Motion Sickness Fishing apart? It's our dedication to hand-crafted quality, rigorous testing, and a proven track record of success on the water. We don't just sell fishing gear; we sell confidence.

The Shop

What started as retirement dowtime for Lonnie turned into the heartbeat of Motion Sickness Fishing.

When Lonnie retired, he didn't slow down- he headed out to the shop. What began as tinkering, builidng a few pieces for personal use, grew into something more. Friends and family started asking for gear. Then friends of friends. Before long, the shop lights where staying on a little later.

Every piece we offer is handmade right here in the shop. NO mass production. NO shortcuts. Just careful craftsmanship, years of fishing knowledge, and pride in doing things the right way.

This isn't factory fishing tackle. This is shop built, fisherman-approved, and made with purpose.
